This is a blog about a religion called Etherism. It does not have many practitioners but it is not dependent on having many.
Etherism is not an old religion. It is fairly new. It began with research and investigation into unverified personal gnosis & experiences that were inexplicable in 2002 (approximately). Research continued for about five years, during which time the name “Ether” was arbitrarily applied to the sum total of all energy, matter and spiritual material (dissimilar to matter but not simply the ability to do work). This gave birth to the name “Etherism” in 2007. Etherism has absolutely nothing to do with the old theory of space being filled with a material (then called Ether) instead of being empty. No part of Etherism suggests that the vastness of space (on the material side) is filled with anything but what science suggests.
Etherism’s methodologies of affecting the universe (called channeling or etheristic channeling) were built concurrently to the metaphysics and were finalized in their current form in 2008. The philosophy of Etherism was finalized in 2009. Currently the religion is only undergoing minor edits for coherence and clarity. Any post here that is still being updated is awaiting updates due to the writer’s time and effort constraints. Please be patient.
Etherism is not a rigid religion however. It will always be a work in progress, as we seek not to be entrapped in our own sense of being right. As new data comes in, things will change (if necessary). Even the philosophy may change, as metaphysics informs philosophy.
Every post will be organized into a Metaphysics or a Philosophy post. The philosophies of Etherism can be taken secularly, while they are informed by the metaphysics, they are still largely built from ethics, the concept of balance and the sacredness of the Self. Their elements are more than applicable in any mundane aspect of life and can certainly be present in a secular philosophy. You are more than welcome to follow the philosophy without involving Aspects, Essences, channeling or The Ether into your understanding of the world.
Channeling will not be gone over in depth here. Some elements are considered the mysteries of a religion. This is for your protection. Channeling is dangerous, so no one but those tutored in the philosophy and metaphysics of the religion will be allowed to learn those secrets and then only if deemed trustworthy and capable. I only know of less than five other Etherists in the Western World. Not all of them are at a point where they can teach. So quite likely, it will be a long time before we can teach channeling to any large number of people. Be patient.
